The idea had been on his mind for some time: his own business that could follow his vision for all crazy watch and jewellery lovers like him – in the middle of Biel-Bienne!

The first discussions took place in the spring of 2021, the decision was taken in the summer of that same year, and planning started in August. Then, in winter, the go-ahead was given for starting construction. "The whole rebuilding process, up until the opening of the boutique, took three years," says Cédric Schiess, just 25 years young.

In his hometown of Biel-Bienne, to which he is deeply connected, he works with a good deal more than 50 different companies on the conversion of the listed building on Unionsgasse to make his dream come true. The building is restored to its original state, with all the details and subtleties that it already had at that time.



Cédric attaches great importance to the more than twenty different materials that have been used. They were to be as natural as possible. For example, natural lime and clay are used to plaster the walls. The store's beautiful interior showcases a lot of high-quality solid wood, brass, specially moulded glass and hand-laid straw marquetry.

Particular attention is paid to the details. There are custom-made glass prisms and solid herringbone oak floors with brass embellishments to admire. The free-floating staircase leads to the first floor, where the Strap Bar and a lounge are located. The aim is for everyone to feel welcome and be able to devote themselves to their passion in a relaxed manner.
